The Carleton Elliott Simensen Military Heritage Collection was created by the Chester Fritz Library to solicit written materials and photographs that document how communities and people of North Dakota and the surrounding region were affected by wars and military conflicts. Materials include photographs, correspondence, diaries, memoirs and books, containing information on the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam conflict, and Gulf War.
